There are certain features that can be telltale signs of a nakshatra, even if the natives do not always look overtly similar across all features. There are a few specific features I love to check for when I'm suspecting that Shravana श्रवण nakshatra (10° – 23° 20′ Makara/Capricorn) may be present.
The most typical manifestation of Shravana through the physical appearance includes a rectangular face shape, with a tall, square forehead (often with a V-shaped widow's peak hairline) as well as small to medium but lifted cheek bones, shown more clearly through the generally minimized cheek fat/fullness. The chin and jawline is strong & squared. Shravana eyes are distinct in that they are very deep-set, medium to large in size, with a heavy and downturned brow bone. The brows generally follow this shape, being straight to slightly downturned, and they tend to be a bit understated, light, or sparse. The lowered brow bones and lifted cheek bones combine together to create a triangular framing for the deep-set eyes, bringing a strong natural shadow. The Shravana nose is typically rather pointed, with an inverted triangular tip (from a slightly lowered columella). Just as they have an emphasized bone structure overall, the teeth/gums of Shravana can also be quite large and protruding (such as Shravana natives Karolina Kurkova & Kayla Ewell).
This beauty type was especially celebrated in the late 70s-early 80s' supermodel era, as you can note to the left. In my last post, I explored how sporty Shravana women have dominated "Bond girl" roles through the decades. You can watch my new Youtube-Short to see Shravana beauty in motion (it can also be found on instagram @claire.nakti or tiktok @clairenakti). As with everything in astrology, these features to check for are a tendency not a rule for Shravana's physical appearance. A person's other primary placements will bring in features as well, though one will tend to come to the surface the most strongly (relating to their dominant planet); one can have a Shravana primary placement but be dominated by one of their other primary placements instead.
In this way, I seek in these posts to isolate the Shravana nakshatra appearance influence as much as possible by finding the most consistent common physical ground amongst its natives, while having awareness that each individual you're seeing has other astrological influences at play as well that make them unique. I wanted to make these posts so that you don't have to rely on two people looking strikingly similar to know they share a nakshatra, but rather can more consciously/logically check for certain revealing features even amongst people who have many differences.
