There are certain features that can be telltale signs of a nakshatra, even if the natives do not always look overtly similar across all features. There are a few specific features I love to check for when I'm suspecting that Pushya nakshatra (3° 20′ – 16° 40′ Cancer) might be present, which come together as the Lotus foundation for a look that has the potential to blossom into something often widely-appreciated by the masses. Their features are very much a blending of their planet lords-- the juiciness and feminity of Moon (Cancer's lord) combined with the structure of Saturn (the nakshatra lord).
Pushya eyes tend to be medium to large and quite elongated (along with the brows), neutral in position (rather than commonly very upturned or downturned), wide-set, and slightly protruding. The heavy upper lip tends to protrude further than the lower lip from the side view. The nose is distinct in that it is broad/square on the bridge just above the tip, as well as the tip is very square (whereas the top of the bridge tends to be more narrow, and the nostril wings are also narrow-medium).
These "softer"-polarized features are then balanced with some "harder" features-- a squared face shape with a short chin, broad & high cheekbones, and sharp jawline (more or less emphasized depending on overall constitution/weight-- with a more kapha constitution the face shape may be more rounded). The facial symmetry tends to be quite striking for Pushya natives (as with other airy Saturn-ruled nakshatras), giving an ethereal appearance. A general memorable overview give away is that the Pushya face often looks wider (less horizontally-fused or compressed) than average, especially in the mid-face: the eyes are long and wide-set, the nose bridge is wide, the cheek bones are broad and high and the cheek fullness is in the lateral region, etc.
In my survey of beauty icons through the past few decades (video left, full graph analysis on my Patreon), Pushya Ascendant arose most strongly as the #1 factor for women (and for Moon placement Pushya & Cancer were also extremely powerful). In this way, it makes sense that in ancient texts Pushya is considered the most auspicious of nakshatras (another name for this nakshatra, Tishya, means "auspicious"), granting general abundance & prosperity. Each nakshatra has its own unique allure & powerful beauty (as I continue to explore). Additionally, certain more subjective standards/trends of beauty change based on the time and place. Not all Pushya natives are considered conventionally attractive. However, Pushya for women in many ways can be considered the "beauty blueprint", which quite consistently helps with the blossoming of Universally-appreciated qualities (cited in evolutionary biological research on sexual selection): neoteny, female dimorphism, facial regulation, and symmetry.
Here is the YouTube video-short to see Pushya nakshatra's appearance in motion (and to view more Pushya examples). As with anything in astrology, these features are a tendency not a rule for Pushya natives. A person's other primary placements will bring in features as well, though one will tend to come to the surface the most strongly (relating to their dominant planet). In this way, I seek in these posts to isolate the Pushya influence as much as possible by finding the most consistent common physical ground amongst its natives, while having awareness that each individual you're seeing has other astrological influences at play as well that make them unique. I wanted to make these posts so that you don't have to rely on two people looking strikingly similar to know they share a nakshatra, but rather can more consciously/logically check for certain revealing features even amongst people who have many differences.

Birth time note: Ebonee Davis has a C-rated birth time (tropical "Leo rising") that allows for Pushya ASC.
Error: Kate Moss's rising sign was previously listed for Pushya ASC, but I did not realize this has since been removed. Her rising sign is therefore unfortunately unknown.
