There are certain features that can be telltale signs of a nakshatra, even if the natives do not always look overtly similar across all features. There are a few specific features I love to check for when I'm suspecting that Hasta हस्त nakshatra (10° – 23° 20′ Virgo sidereal) may be present, which calls to mind common artistic depictions of fairies. Hasta beauty is especially defined by their tight and lifted lower eyelid and rounded upper eyelid, giving their medium to large almond eyes a striking & open appearance, accentuated by their naturally thin and arched brows. Hazel and green tones are very common for Hasta eye coloring, and their eyes are often made even more distinct by their clean and thick limbal rings.
They most commonly possess a diamond face shape, most broad in the mid-face with high and sharp cheekbones, narrowing to a dainty jaw and pointed chin, as well as medium to small lips. The fairy look of this kshipra (light/swift) nakshatra is then further emphasized through their (sometimes slightly long in terms of forward-projection) pointed nose tip.
Tinkerbell's skillful, magical, quick, and mischievous traits make sense for the energy of this nakshatra; their facial fairy-beauty reveals much about their mystically-inclined nature. Hasta arose very prominently in my survey of occultists & spiritualists, as well as my seperate survey of astrologers. Its traditional power is to materialize what it is seeking into its hand 🪄, and its power relates to the skillful manipulation (Mercury, the rashi lord) of the astral plane and emotions (Moon, the nakshatra lord) to obtain one's desires. As with everything in astrology, these features to check for are a tendency not a rule for Hasta's physical appearance. A person's other primary placements will bring in features as well, though one will tend to come to the surface the most strongly (relating to their dominant planet); one can have a Hasta primary placement but be dominated by one of their other primary placements instead. In this way, I seek in these posts to isolate the Hasta appearance influence as much as possible by finding the most consistent common physical ground amongst its natives, while having awareness that each individual you're seeing has other astrological influences at play as well that make them unique. I wanted to make these posts so that you don't have to rely on two people looking strikingly similar to know they share a nakshatra, but rather can more consciously/logically check for certain revealing features even amongst people who have many differences.
