There are certain features that can be telltale signs of a nakshatra, even if the natives do not always look overtly similar across all features. There are a few specific features I love to check for when I'm suspecting that Mula मूल nakshatra (0° – 13° 20′ Dhanus/Sagittarius) may be present. I find Mula's beauty to come across as majestic, commanding, and poised, with a softness combined with a proud grace that brings to mind this title "pony-pretty". This nakshatra begins Sagittarius, and Sagittarius is the rashi of the centaur, a mystical creature with a human torso and the body of a horse.
Mula women's pony-beauty is created through their typically oblong face shape, with a long mid-face. A gentleness is brought to this face shape through full, rounded, and large cheek bones-- the bone structure for Mulas tends to be both prominent and softened. Mula's eyes are most often small in size, almond-shaped, and upturned. Their brows tend to be lifted and arched.
Their lips are medium to full and pouty, with an emphasized and often times large and rounded upper lip (fuller than the lower lip). Their mouths overall are medium to large in size. The nose for Mula natives tends to appear slightly thick, often with a neutrally-angled pointed tip and a low-set, slight bump on the bridge (whereas the radix is more sunken). Mula women seem to enjoy enriching their coloring with warm honey tones.
You can watch my new Youtube-short to see Mula beauty in motion and to see more Mula natives (it can also be found on instagram @claire.nakti or tiktok @clairenakti). As with everything in astrology, these features to check for are a tendency not a rule for Mula's physical appearance. I have recently deeply explored Mula nakshatra in an ebook and video series tying this nakshatra to the fairytale "Belle" archetype.
A person's other primary placements will bring in features as well, though one will tend to come to the surface the most strongly (relating to their dominant planet); one can have a Mula primary placement but be dominated by one of their other primary placements instead. In this way, I seek in these posts to isolate the Mula nakshatra appearance influence as much as possible by finding the most consistent common physical ground amongst its natives, while having awareness that each individual you're seeing has other astrological influences at play as well that make them unique. I wanted to make these posts so that you don't have to rely on two people looking strikingly similar to know they share a nakshatra, but rather can more consciously/logically check for certain revealing features even amongst people who have many differences.
